Why WordPress?

If what your site needs is a blog with some strong content management tools and nifty plugins, WordPress may be ideal. I have used WordPress for years for my personal blog Talking Tech. WordPress has a great user interface and is easy to set up and configure, so it's ideal for quickly creating a site that is focused on the blog. A non-tech oriented client can be trained to manage the site easily. Like Drupal, many add ons can extend the functionality of the site.

One of WordPress's advantages over Drupal is the ease that upgrades can be made through a few mouse clicks. Drupal still requires a web master familiar with the system and with FTP. This ease of maintenance can make the platform perfect for the micro business owner who wants complete control of site updates and maintenance.
